Brisbane Rock & Boulder Walls

Rock and Boulder wall OPTIONS

Fortunately, in Brisbane in particular, Rock and Boulder walls give you a lot of options. You can use push rock, Granite, Bluestone and you can use natural rock. Sandstone is also popular. There’s lots of different rock that you could use to build rock walls when furnishing the exterior of your home in the Brisbane area.

OUR FAVOURITE ROCK’S

My favorite rock’s for landscaping in Brisbane are push rock, bluestone, and sandstone. Natural sandstone is good because it looks good, it’s got a nice light color but the bad thing is that it heats up in the sun and sometimes you have to you have to seal sandstone but usually not on rock walls.

When building Rock and Boulder walls in Brisbane, we recommend you don’t build it with concrete in amongst the rocks. We use mortar because the concrete tends to come out and you can see it a bit. Always give it a massive wash off when you are Going to finish. This make’s it look good.

Rock and Boulder wall conclusions

Rock and Boulder walls are a great way to enhance a property and keep in play with the environment around Brisbane. They are steady. You have just got to build them right and to a nice solid foundation of steel and concrete before putting your mortar on top of it. Then one can start the process of building the rock. Make sure drainage is installed as very much like a retaining wall, a rock wall retains water. One should definitely put drainage in behind it.
